One-point advice from Rio Hoshizuki

This time, the theme is "About Water."

I will tell you about the importance of daily hydration.

How are you all doing?

This is Hoshizuki.

They say it's ideal to drink 2 liters of water a day, don't they?

For adults, water makes up 55-65% of body weight.

If 1% of that is lost, you feel thirsty, and if 2% is lost, you may experience dizziness, nausea, and loss of appetite.

Furthermore, if 10% is lost, you may faint, and if 20% is lost, your life is in danger.

(It is said that if you cannot drink a single drop of water, it becomes difficult to sustain life in 2-3 days...)

If you can hydrate properly every day, you can expect detoxification effects and improved skin quality.

The necessary water intake varies depending on age, physique, and season, but generally, it's 35 ml per 1 kg of body weight. So, for a person weighing 50 kg, it's 1750 ml, and for a person weighing 60 kg, it's 2100 ml.

(Food also contains water, so you can include that in your calculations!)

Some people may not like water, but tea or sports drinks cannot truly substitute for it.

Try to find ways to make it easier to drink, such as drinking hot water or adding fruit.

Also, coffee and alcohol have diuretic effects, and drinking too much can actually lead to dehydration.

Do not include them in your 2 liters of daily fluid intake, and try to hydrate more actively when you feel the need to urinate frequently.

How you drink water is also important. If you drink a large amount at once, your body may not be able to absorb it, leading to unnecessary excretion, chills, and swelling.

Try to drink a glass (150-200 ml) frequently, especially upon waking, during exercise, before and after bathing, and before going to bed!
